WHAT PARTICIPANTS SAY
“Would I join again? Definitely!”
Rated 5 out of 5 stars.
Who are your hosts?
Hi there ?, we are Julia, Sascha and Ineke and we are the motivated team that has been organizing this amazing camp for you!

Julia Termeer
Violin Teacher & Founder of Violinspiration
Julia an enthusiastic young violin teacher that never runs out of fun ideas to do such as organizing a violin camp! She absolutely loves teaching the violin and bringing people together to play music. During the past years she has founded multiple violin schools and has been teaching hundreds of students from all over the world. She is the one that will make sure that you practice your scales and will be surveilling you 24/7 to check if you are still bowing straight.
All jokes aside, Julia is going to teach the major parts of the workshops & classes in this camp and looks forward to have lessons with you!
Ineke van Hoogstraten
Classical Pianist & Conductor
Ineke is a highly qualified & experienced teacher, that has coached musicians and music teachers in many settings for more than 25 years.
She will be joining Violin Villa to give you a chance to prepare for a real violin performance with a professional accompanist!
With her many years of experience, Ineke developed a quality to meet you exactly where you are & challenge you to try out new musical possibilities in your playing.
Next to helping you learn to perform with a pianist, she will also be leading one of our ensemble sessions.

Sascha Bölsche
Host & Cook
Sascha has been practicing hard to learn Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on the violin, but unfortunately he recently realized he forgot how to play it. His musical skills may be something he needs to work on, however he has a big talent for making sure everyone feels welcome & organizing every tiny detail (it might be a German thing).
Most importantly, he is going to provide you with delicious and healthy vegetarian meals three times a day. And we can tell you…he has a great talent for cooking! Who doesn’t love that?

During group classes we will work on our group pieces that will be voted for & revealed closer to camp date.
What if I have specific dietary requirements?
We accommodate all dietary restrictions and allergies. Please be sure to let us know in advance so the chef is aware of your needs and can provide delicious meals that meet your personal needs.
What should I bring?
Upon acceptance to the camp we will provide you with a full packing list!
How much do tickets cost?
The ticket prices depend on the type of room you choose and how early you book. Prices start at € 590 and can go up to over €1000.
We increase the price during our sales process. The earlier you secure the ticket, the more it facilitates our planning, making deposits and preparing the beautiful experience that lies ahead of us. This is why ticket prices will increase over time.
Can I bring my partner / family along?
This depends on the number of attendees. Please let us know if you would like to bring someone by sending an e-mail to support@violinspiration.com and we will let you know exactly what is possible. Probably it won’t be possible to bring younger kids as there is no supervision during class hours.
Do I need to book my own flights / train tickets?
Yes, your flights or train tickets are not included in the price. You will need to book flights to Weeze Airport (NRN) in Germany or train station Horst-Sevenum in the Netherlands. We recommend Kiwi for booking flights. If you need any help with this, contact support@violinspiration.com directly after booking and we will help you out.
Do I have to perform at the final recital?
No, in case you don’t want to perform you can opt-out. In that case you will still be working on a personal piece during your private sessions with Julia and Ineke, your accompanist. However, we encourage everyone to try performing, as it’s a great learning experience. We have found that in the beginning of camps like these, nobody will feel like performing, but after one week of practicing, encouraging together and making new friends, you might eventually want to try it anyway…
My flight doesn’t let me bring my violin, what can I do?
We have a limited amount of rental violins available for the duration of the camp. However, we still advise you to take your own violin if you have the chance to, as it often takes an adjustment period to get used to a new violin.
How will I get to the location?
We can pick you up (pick-up fee is 15€ to the airport – may be a little waiting time included if other attendees arrive at a similar time) or you can go with a bus or taxi (10 minuted ride to the closest train station or 30 min to the closest airport). We’ll send you detailed instructions upon acceptance to the camp.
Can I share a room with a friend?
Sure! Let us know in your application who you’d like to share a room with and we’ll place you together!
Do I need a VISA?
That depends on your nationality and passport. If you’re an EU citizen you won’t need a visa to travel to the Netherlands. If you are from the USA or Canada and didn’t travel to Europe this year yet, you can stay in the Netherlands for 90 days. Please make sure you research the visa requirements for your passport and situation well before you plan to travel. To research visa requirements we recommend VisaHQ.
What is your refund policy?
If for some reason you can’t make it, you can cancel your ticket by simply sending an email to support@violinspiration.com The following conditions apply to cancellations and booking changes for the trip:
- 90 Days: €295 is held as cancellation fee
- 90 – 30 Days: 75% of your ticket price is held as cancellation
